Safari and Best Time to Visit
Dudhwa National Park is too vast to explore on foot. Visitors can hire jeeps available outside the park or enjoy a camel ride arranged by park authorities. The safari is open only from 15th November to 15th June each year. It’s best to visit between November and April as May and June are very hot and humid. Safaris are conducted daily between 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A guide and a forest official accompany each vehicle for safety and information. Personal vehicles are not allowed for safaris; only registered vehicles or gypsies are permitted. The entry fee is INR 50 per person, and there’s an additional charge of INR 100 for vehicle entry.
Unique Features and Tribal Village
One of the highlights of Dudhwa is the tribal village of Tharu, where visitors can experience the unique culture and lifestyle of the locals. The natural beauty and diverse wildlife make the park a must-visit destination. There’s also a canteen for food and water, ensuring visitors have all basic facilities during their trip.
